The driving force behind my art

As you may already know, creating wearable art in the form of jewelry, brings me great pleasure and satisfaction. I feel very passionately about each piece I make, and strive to meet every individuals unique taste.
However, what brings me thee most gratification for my work are the many touching feedbacks I receive from my customers. Truly, the feeling is unsurpassable.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Summer weather heating up fall fashion

Although the warm weather may be deceiving, October is here, and fall is finally upon us. As the seasons change, along with the color of the leaves, so is my Irenka Jewelry line at the Collector Gallery in Berkeley.

Just the other day, I brought in several new pieces. That's not all though, next week I will add even more.

Below are just some of the many newest additions I have made to the Collector Gallery this past week.
I hope you all enjoy what I've done with this latest collection, as much as I enjoy fall and the cozy feeling it gives us all as we prepare for the winter season ahead.

New Materials New Designs

These last two months I've been experimenting with metalsmithing. I've dabbled in it before but always produced only one or two pieces at a time. Now, I've been creating at a much larger scale and trying out new materials and resins. It's become a new focus.

Taking a sheet of metal and turning it into a pair of earrings, or a necklace, is incredibly satisfying. The work is harder, sometimes it feels like your whole body is being put to use but the end result is all the more fulfilling. It's been exciting work and I can't wait to see what I'll be creating in another year from now.

These pieces are available at Collectors in Berkeley, Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek, Alina B in Blackhawk,  and Lafayette Art Gallery in Lafayette, SFO Airport Terminal 3.

Artists’ Market to be held at the Lafayette Art Gallery Saturday, June 21, 2014, 11 AM – 5 PM
On Saturday June 21st, the Lafayette Art Gallery is hosting an Artists’ Market in the courtyard and fountain area next to the Gallery! The area will be transformed into an enticing outdoor marketplace reminiscent of Carmel, with a variety of artists exhibiting, demonstrating, and selling their artwork. Lafayette Art Gallery members will be there, and outside artists too – a total of 12-15 artists per show. On exhibit will be paintings, ceramics, photography, fine art, textiles, candles, garden art and much, much more.
The artists will be demonstrating their technique at the Market, for you to watch, learn and enjoy. Warren Emmett Rice, photographer and show coordinator states, "At each  market we will feature the art of as many as seven gallery artists, with additional invited artists participating. The public will have a wide range of work from which to choose."
Have lunch at Bo’s or the Artisan Bistro, both noted restaurants located in the Forge, then visit the outdoor marketplace and see your local artists display and demonstrate their art. So stop by the gallery, watch the artists at work, and browse their creations!!
The Lafayette Art Gallery was founded 15 years ago; all members are selected by jury, and the work shown is of remarkably high quality and represents a value unusual in today’s art scene.

Attention Travelers!!!!!

I am happy and proud to announce I have been selected to present my pieces at the Collector Art Gallery!!! Collector is a Berkeley based art gallery and shop which prides themselves on providing an alternative to mass-produced art. They offer a wide selection of art for sale, many of which is made by local bay area artists. Since their opening back in 2011, Collector has expanded to the San Francisco International Airport, where travelers a-like can pick up meaningful art created by a local artist to remember their stay in our beautiful bay area.

If you are interested in Collector please visit their website http://www.collectorartshop.com/about/

Below are some of the many wonderful products you can soon find at the collector galleries as well as on their online store.

A breath of fresh air.

San Diego. I first began visiting San Diego when my younger daughter, Alexandra, moved away to college. From that very first trip I fell in love. However, this past weekend I got to see the surrounding areas, Encinitas, and Coronado which I had not been to on any of my prior trips. We stayed in Coronado and spent the entire weekend exploring all that it has to offer. The weather was pleasant, and the views were stunning. To top it all off, my daughter took us to some amazing restaurants!

I am eagerly awaiting my next trip and to see more of what San Diego has to offer.

FLOWERS FLOWERS FLOWERS

Spring has Sprung at last, and just in time for Easter this upcoming weekend! I have been battling a cold for the last 10 days which has kept me from enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having. I was beginning to worry I wouldn't get well in time for the holidays. However my friends have sought after my health with these gorgeous gifts which I believe have been more beneficial to my health than any medicine the doctor prescribed.

Can you believe that all of these were picked from my friends gardens?! The variety of them perfectly reflects each one of my friends. I love them all very much.

Spring is just around the corner

This weekend's events were both very successful. There were some familiar faces as well as new ones at both events. It's always a pleasure meeting new people :)

Today I am working on my hand hammered hoop earrings, as they are in high demand before the spring. These are honestly one of my personal favorites! Available in silver, 14k rose gold filled, and 14k yellow gold filled. They are the perfect day to night earrings!

Events, Events, Events!

As if the shift to daylight savings wasn't enough, this week has been strictly Work, Work, Work. This week truly is all work and no play for Irenka Jewelry. With this weekend quickly approaching I am finishing up designing new pieces for display for two events.

The first is an exhibit, " Location, Location, Location", on Friday. The exhibit is hosted by The Lafayette Art Gallery located in Lafayette CA, in celebration of their relocation. More details about this event can be found by clicking on the following link

As for Saturday, AlinaB. is having their unofficial opening at her new location at the Blackhawk Plaza in Danville California .

With that said let the countdown to the weekend commence!  Best wishes to the Lafayette Art Gallery and AlinaB, hope your events run smoothly and are a great success.
